I've been keeping journals since I was in elementary school. I started to realize the power of my written word in the 6th grade when a teacher, after confiscating a short story I was writing about my life during a lesson, pulled me aside to give me back my story and compliment me with the saddest look in her eyes, and when I wrote a heartfelt letter about the abuse I was suffering that resulted in my dad being investigated. I'm not sure which came first anymore. The letter was requested by my mom at some point between 10 and 12. I always feel like I was ten but I'm not so sure anymore.
When I found out about self-publishing on Medium a few years ago, I was very gung-ho. After forcing myself onto a near-daily schedule of churning out essays for the sake of doing so, I lost my passion for public writing.
On my hunt for income streams after my bakery failed, I revisited Medium. The thought of returning no longer made me cringe. Here, you can find a list of my articles under my new Medium account.
Send me a message or ask me a question using this form. I will do my best to get back to you soon!
